Spanish Orange wines: have you ever heard of them?


Imagine you are going to one of the best wineries in Spain!

At 10.00 there will be a tour, a tasting and a chauffeur-driven car ride through the vineyards of the Priorat, Penedes or Imporada, the best wine-producing regions of Catalonia.

One of the best Spanish family wineries was founded in the 1930s and is located south of Barcelona. It makes red, rosé, and white wines, as well as cava (the sparkling wines of Catalonia, which are produced using the method of French Champagne).

The grounds of Parés Baltà are vast in area and varied in geography. The differences in the altitude and the proximity to the sea, the rainfall and the sunshine give the vines a unique bouquet of flavours, depending on the terroir (the combination of soil and climate and the specific terrain) of the vineyard. Eighteen varieties are grown in the vineyards.

At 15.30 a tour and wine tasting from the barrel. The birth year of this Catalan winery is considered 1872, when the owner of the Bodega Codornho of Vilafranca del Penedes, Giuseppe Raventos opened the first bottle of sparkling wine, but his Cavas did not appear on sale until 1880.

At 5 p.m. you leave for Barcelona.
